Tropical Disturbance [LPA] 97W (LANDO) lingering near the coast of La Union...circulation somewhat disorganized. This system together with the powerful Typhoon MUIFA (KABAYAN) located over the North Philippine Sea will continue to enhance the monsoon rains across the western sections of Luzon & Visayas including Metro Manila, Mindoro, Calamian Group, Boracay & Northern Palawan.

*This system continues to be classified by PAGASA & JMA-Tokyo Typhoon Center as a weak Tropical Depression.

97W's (LANDO) circulation currently fragmented off the West Philippine Sea. Below is the summary of the disturbance' parts and its hazards affecting specific areas:

DEVELOPING RAINBANDS - spreading & affecting the coastal areas of La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, & Bataan. Light, moderate to strong winds (5-55 kph) will be expected along these bands (click here to know more about Rainbands).

CURRENT SW MONSOON INTENSITY: STRONG >> Cloudy skies with occasional showers, rains, squalls & thunderstorms will be expected along the following affected areas: NORTHERN PALAWAN, VISAYAS & SOUTHWESTERN LUZON including METRO MANILA, SOUTHERN TAGALOG PROVINCES, MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, WESTERN BICOL. Moderate to strong SW'ly winds (not in excess of 45 kph) will blow.
