Remnants of Tropical Disturbance [LPA] 97W (LANDO) has returned back to sea...barely moving near the coast of Ilocos Norte. This system is likely to dissipate and be abosrbed into the SW Monsoonal flow which is being enhanced by the strong typhoon Muifa located over the North Philippine Sea.
*Unless regeneration occurs, this is the Final Update on 97W..

FORECAST OUTLOOK ANALYSIS (up to 1 day)* EFFECTS & HAZARDS SUMMARY CURRENT SW MONSOON INTENSITY: MODERATE >> Partly cloudy skies with occasional showers, rains, squalls & thunderstorms will be expected along the following affected areas: CALAMIAN GROUP, VISAYAS & SOUTHERN LUZON including METRO MANILA, SOUTHERN TAGALOG PROVINCES, MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, & BICOL REGION. Moderate to strong SW'ly winds (not in excess of 40 kph) will blow.
Since this system is still an area of low pressure, no forecast analysis has been issued by US JTWC.
97W's (LANDO) circulation currently fragmented off the west coast of Luzon. Below is the summary of the disturbance' parts and its hazards affecting specific areas:
DISSIPATING/FRAGMENTED RAINBANDS - spreading & affecting Ilocos Provinces & La Union. Light to moderate winds (5-45 kph) will be expected along these bands (click here to know more about Rainbands).
