Current Status and Outlook | MEGI (HELEN) is now outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has weakened into a Tropical Storm (TS) as it makes its last landfall over Fujian Province in Southeastern China. MEGI (HELEN) will rapidly dissipate and eventually become just a remnant low pressure over the mountains of Southeastern China within the next 24 hours. This is the Final Update on this Tropical Cyclone. Meanwhile, the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat)will still bring occasional rains with thunderstorms and gusty winds not exceeding 40 km/hr across the Western Sections of Central Luzon including Metro Manila, MiMaRoPa, and Western Visayas today. Sea travel for small to medium size sea crafts at this time will be risky across the area. |
