How strong is it? | Maximum Sustained Winds (10-min avg): 55 kph near the center...Gustiness: 75 kph |
Where is it heading? | It was moving West @ 24 kph, towards the easternmost part of the Central Philippine Sea. |
Forecast Highlights | - Chaba is expected to become a Tropical Storm (TS) later tonight or Friday (Sept 30). - Chaba is not a threat to the country. - Chaba is forecast to just enter PAR on Oct 01 & exit on Oct 03. - Chaba shall just pass along the open waters of the North Philippine Sea, between 700-800 km away from Batanes Group of Islands. Its circulation will remain at sea. |
