Current Status | Tropical Storm (TS) NEPARTAK [BUTCHOY] has made its last landfall over Fujian Province, China or in the vicinity of Quanzhou City around 11am this morning and has rapidly weakened into a Tropical Depression (TD). NEPARTAK is currently moving across the central part of Fujian and will eventually dissipate within the next 24 hours. Hence, this will be the final update on this tropical cyclone. Meanwhile, this depression will still continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and bring "on-and-off" rains with thunderstorms and gusty winds across the western sections of Luzon and Visayas including Metro Manila tonight and tomorrow (Sun Jul 10). |
