This morning I woke up to a cool wind and a light rain. We are feeling the effects of the Super Typhoon as it makes its way to Hong Kong. Looking at the satellite photograph in the previous posts will indicate that the outer rain bands have begun to affect Taiwan. If this thing turns Easterly, we could be in serious trouble as the West Coast of Taiwan is where most of the population resides. Normally, typhoons come in from the East and the Central Mountain Range protects the West Coast from the effects. In this shot you can see the typical rain band formations.
