THE ACTIVE TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA,
JUST EAST OF SURIGAO, HAS STRENGTHENED INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
LOCALLY NAMED AS "DOMENG"..MOVING CLOSER TO SAMAR-LEYTE AREA.
+ FORECAST OUTLOOK: DOMENG is expected to continue moving WNW to
NW and shall make landfall along the Southeastern Coast of Samar,
near Guiuan tomorrow noon, June 25 before passing very close to
the NE of Tacloban City, Leyte in the afternoon (around 2PM).

to take precautionary measures as the depression moves closer to
the area. Mapping out disaster preparedness plans during DOMENG's
approach must be completed now to avoid loss of lives and

Leyte Provinces while its Outer Bands continues to spread westward
across Bicol Region and is now reaching portions of Central and
Western Visayas as well Southern Tagalog and Quezon Provinces.
These rainbands particularly the inner bands are expected to bring
moderate to heavy torrential rains with strong winds that could
produce flying debris, life-threatening flash floods and mudslides
along river banks, low-lying areas and mountain slopes over the
affected areas.
+ CURRENT MONSOON INTENSITY: This storm is not yet enhancing the
