TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 19W [KIKO] UPDATE NO. 003 (FINAL)

Current Status and Outlook

Tropical Depression (TD) 19W [KIKO] has weakened into a Tropical Disturbance (LPA) as it continues to encounter strong upper-level winds.  Most of its rainbands has been displaced farther west, along Northern Luzon, where moderate to heavy rains prevail. 

*This will be the Final Update on this tropical cyclone.

*Remnants of LPA 19W (KIKO) together with its associated Trough will continue to bring scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms across Central and Northern Luzon tonight.

Where is LPA 19W (KIKO)?As of 5:00 PM PhT today, September 05…0900 GMT.  The center was located over the northeastern part of the Balintang Channel (near 19.5N 123.3E), about 165 km northeast of Santa Ana, Cagayan or 193 km east of Calayan Island, Cagayan.

Maximum Sustained Winds (10-min avg): 35 kph near the center…Gustiness: 55 kph.

Past Movement (06 hrs)It was moving Northwest @ 34 kph, towards Babuyan-Batanes Area.
