Tropical Depression 93W (UNNAMED) is now locally named by PAGASA as URDUJA...currently moving NW closer to Surigao Del Norte and Leyte. Heavy rainbands spreading across Northern Mindanao and SE Visayas.

+ Forecast Outlook: URDUJA is expected to continue drifting NW-ward. The 2-day Short-Range Forecast shows the system over the Gulf of Leyte tomorrow afternoon (2PM Nov 24: 10.9N 125.3E) and will cross Leyte, passing very close to Tacloban City tomorrow evening until Wednesday morning. URDUJA will be off Biliran Island by Wednesday afternoon (2PM Nov 25: 11.6N 124.7E). More forecast outlook will be issued soon as majority of the forecast guidance models remains poor in initializing the future track of this weak depression. Please be reminded that the Forecast Outlook changes every 6 hours, so a turn to the left or right of its future track and other possibilities must be considered.
+ Effects & Hazards: URDUJA's organizing rainbands continues to dump scattered to widespread rains across Northern Mindanao, Leyte, Samar, Cebu and Bohol. Rainfall amounts of up to 200 mm (heavy rains) can be expected within the heavy rainbands of this depression. Residents in low-lying areas & steep slopes must remain alert & seek evacuation for possible life-threatening flash floods, mudslides & landslides due to the anticipated heavy rains brought about by this system. Precautionary measures must be initiated if necessary.

Now In Effect: LEYTE, SOUTHERN LEYTE, EASTERN SAMAR, WESTERN SAMAR, SURIGAO DEL SUR, SURIGAO DEL NORTE, SIARGAO, AND DINAGAT ISLANDS.
The above areas will have rains and winds of not more than 55 kph tonight until tomorrow. Coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Residents living along river banks, low-lying and mountainous areas which are under Public Storm Warning Signal Number 1 are alerted against flashfloods, mudflows, mudslides and landslides.
