Tropical Depression (TD) [ZORAIDA] continues to rapidly accelerate and is now along the coast of Surigao Del Sur...will make landfall over Surigao Del Sur this morning and traverse Agusan Provinces. Its rainbands will continue to bring wet weather across most of Mindanao and Southern Visayas.
Residents and visitors along Mindanao and Visayas should closely monitor the development of Zoraida.

CURRENT STORM ANALYSIS
As of 5:00 am today, the center of TD Zoraida was located near the coast of Surigao Del Sur...about 55 km east of Bislig City or 165 km southeast of Butuan City...currently moving very quickly west-northwest with a forward speed of 54 km/hr towards Surigao Del Sur and Agusan Provinces.
Maximum Sustained Winds (1-min. avg) remain at 45 km/hr near the center with higher gusts.
2-DAY FORECAST OUTLOOK*
TD Zoraida is expected to continue moving quickly west-northwest to westward throughout the forecast period. On the forecast track, the core of TD Zoraida will make landfall over Surigao Del Sur later this morning...traversing Agusan Provinces...and will be over Gingoog Bay, very near Camiguin Island around 2 PM this afternoon. Zoraida will then move across Bohol Sea this evening...passing over Siquijor and Southern Negros very near Dumaguete City between 8 to 10 PM...and will emerge over Sulu Sea by early Wednesday morning. By Wednesday evening, it will cross Palawan...passing just north of Puerto Princesa...and will be over the West Philippine Sea on Thursday early morning.
TD Zoraida will likely maintain its strength within the next 12 to 24 hours...but will intensify once the system reaches the West Philippine Sea. Advance Intensity Forecast (AIF) shows its 1-minute maximum sustained winds increasing to 75 km/hr by Wednesday morning.

WEDNESDAY EARLY MORNING: Emerging over the Sulu Sea...after crossing Southern Visayas...about 170 km SSW of Iloilo City [2AM NOV 13: 9.4N 121.8E @ 45kph].
THURSDAY EARLY MORNING: Moving across the West Philippine Sea...intensifes into a Tropical Storm (TS)...about 105 km NW of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan [2AM NOV 14: 10.2N 117.9E @ 65kph].
FRIDAY EARLY MORNING: Continues to gain srength...approaching the coast of Southeastern Vietnam...about 220 km ESE of Nha Trang, Vietnam [2AM NOV 15: 11.5N 113.0E @ 85kph].
*Please be reminded that the Forecast Outlook changes every 6 hours, and the Day 2 and 3 Forecast Track has an average error of 100 and 250 km respectively...while the wind speed forecast error, averages 35 kph per day. Therefore, a turn to the left or right of its future track and changes in its wind speed must be anticipated from time to time.
